Free As We'll Ever Be

There are few things more freeing than driving down narrow, windy roads at dusk, the windows rolled down and the humid air blowing through the car. You can hear bugs makings a fuss in the woods. The air is a cool 68 degrees. Roads are consistently branching into more and more roads. You could easily get lost out here. Thankfully, there's a GPS system. I've developed Deckadeeraphobia, the fear of my car hitting a deer at any possible moment. Kidding, but still. There's also the possibility of hitting an armadillo or dog. Move to another city with no open highways and you have me, known to go five over the speed limit, driving under 35 mph. Tomorrow marks two weeks of our arrival in Tennessee.  I'm realizing I love it here. The South really is a beautiful place. A bit strange and unusual at times, but beautiful all the same. ★

I can not thank you enough, readers. Your comments on my last post were a wonderful encouragement. You truly are little shooting stars in my world, sending me glimmers of light in all my dark moments. I love you.

  1. Aw, I'm really glad you're settling in! There's so much beauty and adventure to discover here. There's a ton of places I wanna go in the south and still haven't made it yet lol! I live in the city right now, but I can't wait until I'm able to move to a more remote location in the country side! I have that deer fear too D:

  4. i think i would love to travel to Tennessee. IT sounds so wide and open and untouched. I spoiled here in broke and over-priced California. getting out and seeing the parts of the world that have vast stretches of land and no large building and freeways dominating your life would be quite a wake-up call. Maybe I would have more time to seek God and get my study on too.. lol

thanks for updating love you and your blog!

  5. so the buggy driver was a catch huh? mmm sounds interesting. lol I think that a man who knows how to build a house from the ground up and can manage farm animals and plant and seed life out of earth is quite attractive. It just sounds the way a man was meant to be. But i would like to have that in the city. haha. please and thank you.

    k im done
