I have new music to recommend to you. Last night I went to the Owl City concert, featuring Paper Route and LIGHTS. I'm not a crazy Owl City fan, but I thought it would be a fun, mellow concert- and it was. Plus it was kinda fun to hang out with all the teenage hipsters from Arizona. Energetic group, that's for sure. & Adam Young has the prettiest stage (cool lights) and is an interesting (a bit strange, but cool) performer. Maybe you've already heard of the following artists. If not, here's new music for you to check out:

PAPER ROUTE

A rad group of guys from Nashville. According to Facebook, influences include Jurassic Park, magic tricks, Alice in Wonderland and the Titanic soundtrack.
Songs to start with: Carousel, Wish, Gutter

LIGHTS

A Canadian girl who makes intergalactic-electro music. Pretty voice. Her birthday is today.
Songs to start with: The Listening, Saviour (Adam Young remix), February Air

  1. for some reason i just cannot get into owl city... i try, but i just don't see the appeal - so i totally understand not being a crazy fan! i remember when i first heard lights about 3 years ago - she's so great! and i need to give paper route another chance... if they're influences are alice & titanic - then how could i not like them? ;)

  2. I do like Owl City, but I'm definitely not an obsessive screaming fan or anything haha. The concert sounds like fun though! I've always heard good things about Lights, but I never really got into her. I'll definitely give her and Paper Route a listen :)

  9. Lights!!!!
She is so adorable and her music is so soothing and sweet - plus she's a Canadian, so obviously...haha.
I'm also not the HUGEST fan of Owl City, but I agree it would be a nice mellow show to attend.

  11. Sounds like a good concert, ay? I would love to go to these kinda mellow concerts. Though I'm still hoping to go for Michael Buble's concert! :)

I loved Jurassic Park heaps! And believe it or not, I am yet to watch Titanic! I've only learnt to sing and play the theme song - My heart will go on. Haha.

Thanks for sharing, hun. I'll definitely give you song picks a listen after my finals. :)
