Look at this lovely find. I've been in search of a pretty planner for the coming year and I found this one, made by O-Check Design Graphics, at Anthropologie. An early Christmas present. It opens up to a sketch of Notre Dame Cathedral. And St. Paul's Cathedral, too. Two places I was blessed enough to visit this year! Such a beautiful scheduler, with pictures and drawings and maps scattered throughout the months. And little places to journal as well. Each year I search for a pretty planner or calendar. Us Dorys of the world couldn't survive without one, for we often forget.
Six years ago I started recording my daily activities at days end. Now I can revisit any day I choose. Two years ago I had a sleepover with five of my closest friends and we drove to see the twinkle lights and ate the night away, snacking on sweets and playing board games hours on end I'm sure. Four years past and I had lunch with mom's friends and made sugar cookies with a best friend. Five years ago was spent playing Halo with my older brother. Those were the days when he still lived at home, the days I miss. It's funny how time changes things. ★
Q: What are some of the things you miss from years past?

I'm adding you to my blogroll.
oh, lovie. what I said in my post is DEFINITELY not about you; I feel with every fiber in my heart that you mean everything you say(:
ReplyDeleteAs for this post: i love it so very much. How fortunate you are in being able to see what you did...i wish i was, and had been that consistent. I was actually just yesterday talking to my mom about something I miss very dearly: my families, (my mom's side) had been very close. We would all come to each others houses unannounced, and then we'd make drinks and cookies, and there would be lots of food. We would all congregate in the family room, and the house (which was quite large) seemed smaller because of the laughter and talking. We would all just sit and talking, for hours and hours until one of us went to sleep. that is what I miss the most ♥
your forever friend, olivia

i also am constantly writing my daily activities in a journal because i fear for the days i can't remember well. and i can always look back at happy memories!
ReplyDeleteoh that's so lovely. it's so hard looking for day-to-day journals/planners. i've been doing it since i was 12, and started out with really iffy ones hehe. i don't think i can function properly without it anymore...
